Statsoft (2017) states “Cluster analysis encompasses a number of different algorithms and methods for grouping objects of similar kind into respective categories. In other words cluster analysis is an exploratory data analysis tool which aims at sorting different objects into groups in a way that the degree of association between two objects is maximal if they belong to the same group and minimal otherwise.” Every day we come across several examples of clustering around us. For instance, people dining out sharing the same table can be assumed to be a cluster of individuals. At grocery stores, items like vegetables, or fruits are exhibited nearby or at the same location. If we take the example of the medical field, we see clustering of diseases, cures for ailments, etc.
